Chanalyzer Lite turns data the collected from a Wi-Spy into comprehensive interactive charts and graphs. Just plug in Wi-Spy to scan the airwaves for RF activity, and Chanalyzer Lite merges the Wi-Spy data with Wi-Fi information collected from your laptop's Wi-Fi card to create easy-to-read graphs showing activity from Wi-Fi, cordless phones, microwave ovens and any other RF transmitters in your area.

This gives you a clear picture of which channels are noisy and which ones clear so you can make an informed decision on channel placement and get the most out of your wireless network. Chanalyzer Lite is also very useful for tracking down rogue or interfering devices so you can move or eliminate them.

Chanalyzer Lite Features

• 3D View: View the information collected by the Wi-Spy with the x-axis = Frequency, y-axis = Amplitude and z-axis = Time. The Amplitude is also color coded to make identifying trends very quick and simple. You can also rotate in 3D space to make identify trends even easier. Data analysis was never easier!

  

• 2D /Main View: This shows the main 2D view for the program. Certain areas of this view are explained in more detail later on. The main source of information in the middle of the screen provides the ability to overlay the detected 802.11 SSIDs detected over the noise spectrum. It also provides various view such as Density View, Network Strength over time, Planar View, Channel Activity over time and more.

  

• Channel Activity Over Time: This shows a simplified view of the activity / noise detected within the chosen set of 802.11 channels. This makes identifing the cleanest channels super simple because this view strips the informaiton presented to the most fundamental.

  

• Channel Activity Bar Chart: This presents the channels within min/max bar charts and what is currently happening at the same time. This gives more information than the above Channel Activity Over Time plot.

  

• Wi-Fi Channels table: The same information as the above view, this time in a tabular format.

  

• Wi-Fi Networks table: The network SSID detected by your Wi-Fi card
